The dome is real alabaster — a natural translucent stone, not glass and not resin — cut smooth and even so the light comes through soft and milky rather than patterned; every piece is veined differently. Under it, a stem turned in an hourglass profile in mottled antique-bronze aluminum stands on a low round foot, sized narrow so the lamp stays slim beside a bed.
